Casting Technology
Good results and efficient production is our target. To implement this, we produce cast components on solid systems and with qualified employees who have many years of experience. This is how we set the framework for a high-quality casting technology, from moulding and core production to casting process.

Cast iron components
Our foundries produce cast-iron and ductile components. The weight ranges from 0,1 to 200 kg, in the material specification of EN-GJL and EN-GJS, as well as on special request alloys for different customers in Europe and overseas.
Building materials
The business unit Building Material has been an essential part for over 45 years. Our target is to be alongside by our customers from the building and construction sector and the civil engineering sector as a well known supplier and competent partner.
Casting technology capabilities
Casting parts, which are produced by the Silbitz Group through casting process, can have a weight of 10 kg to 45 tons per part. The term casting technology includes numerous production methods for metallic products, which are cast into a mold and mainly completed through mechanical machining.
Casting materials
A metal is a material that, when freshly prepared, polished, or fractured, shows a lustrous appearance, and conducts electricity and heat relatively well.
Gray iron, or grey cast iron, is a type of cast iron that has a graphitic microstructure. It is named after the gray color of the fracture it forms
An aluminium alloy is an alloy in which aluminium (Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese and silicon
Ductile iron, also known as ductile cast iron, nodular cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron, spheroidal graphite cast iron and SG iron
Magnesium alloys are mixtures of magnesium (the lightest structural metal) with other metals (called an alloy), often aluminium, zinc, manganese, silicon
Types of casting technologies
Cast parts are produced through different casting procedures and casting technologies. We have the fully automated production process through moulding machines, as well as manual production processes, for example the hand-moulded process, with less mechanical processing steps but a subsequent mechanical and shape-cutting finishing for especially precise shapes and final dimensions.
Quality control in every process
The quality products from innovative casting technology is based on a high-quality production. The process starts with the simulation of the casting technology and of the subsequent cutting as well as the solidification process of the cast part
Casting technology
All products comply with the quality parameter “made in Germany” and are produced according to the latest quality criteria of the European and international standards and norms.
